Congressman Rudy Yakym (R-Indiana)

Congressman Rudy Yakym (R-Indiana)

Congressman Rudy Yakym is a fourth generation Hoosier who is proud to represent the people of Indiana in the House of Representatives. A Christian, family man, and conservative, Rudy is working tirelessly to bring common sense, Hoosier values to Washington, D.C.

Born and raised in South Bend, Rudy received a bachelor’s degree in business finance and administration from Indiana University South Bend. He later went on to earn an executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Prior to his election to Congress, Rudy served as director of growth initiatives at Kem Krest, a company that specializes in removing friction from supply chains. Throughout his career in business, Rudy has held senior positions at various companies, helping them to develop effective growth strategies.

Kevin Archer

Kevin Archer

Kevin Archer is a seasoned professional with three decades of experience in the Manufactured Housing industry, having worked for four lenders. He has been a valuable asset to Triad Financial Services since 2005, serving as a Regional Manager with MLO licenses for Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. Kevin’s expertise spans retail marketing, repossession liquidation, product development, and underwriting, complemented by a four-year stint selling Palm Harbor Homes. In addition to his industry involvement, he enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and actively participates on state boards in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Shawn Carnahan

Shawn Carnahan

Shawn Carnahan is the Sales Manager of Adventure Homes. Before being named Sales Manager, Shawn held an Account Sales Manager position where he managed all community business for Adventure Homes, along with a select handful of street retail locations. Before sales, Shawn worked in production and quality control for several years.

Walter Comer

Walter Comer

Wally Comer, President, Adventure Homes, is known and respected throughout the Manufactured Housing industry. He is noted for his strong personal relationships with customers, suppliers, and even competitors. He founded Adventure Homes during troubled times, taking over a defunct plant, creating jobs, and building award-winning homes. Ten years later, Comer and his team run one of the most successful manufactured housing facilities in the country. Adventure has won numerous Manufacturer of the Year awards from MHI, as well as many other accolades, including Comer’s 2019 induction into the RV/MH Hall of Fame. Adventure works to build what the customer wants and has worked equally as hard to get factory-built homes into urban areas where they had previously been zoned out.

Kurt D. Kelley

Kurt D. Kelley

Kurt Kelley is a lawyer, the President of Mobile Insurance, an insurance brokerage providing protection to more MHC owners and MH Retailers than any other source, and the founder of the American Insurance Alliance which accounts for more than 60% of all commercial insurance for the MH Industry. Kurt is also an owner and operator of a commercial HVAC company specializing in multi-tenant properties and an investment real estate owner/operator. Real estate holdings include office, office warehouse, and manufactured home communities.

Tom Krehel, MFH Regional Sales Manager, GreenState Credit  Union. Prior to his current role, he held several positions in sales and management. Tom joined GreenState Credit Union in 2015.

Darren Krolewski

Darren Krolewski

Darren Krolewski is Co-president and Chief Business Development Officer for MHVillage, the number one website for manufactured homes, communities, and retailers. More than 25 million consumers start their home search with MHVillage.com, which results in home sales and rental transactions exceeding $3 billion annually. Darren has been instrumental in the success of numerous real estate developments, communities, and retail operations across the United States.

Eric Oaks

Eric Oaks

Eric started in the industry in 1994 at Safeway Corp. where he began his career as a credit and collections manager after leaving Chase Bank. He then joined the CIT Group and handled floor-planning for seven states.  Eric has been with Greenpoint, Precision Financial, Oxford – Greenstate CU as he advanced in his career in Manufactured Housing Financing. He recently joined Park Lane Finance Solutions as their Business Development Manager. Eric now handles all facets of manufactured housing financing in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Iowa. Eventually this will include Wisconsin and Illinois. Eric sincerely sees the value of the state boards and their benefits to the industry. Eric is a 2-x past President of IMHA / RVIC and currently serves on the board and the executive committee as their Manufactured Housing Chair. He has served as President of the Capital City MH Chapter and is currently serving on the board for the Iowa Manufactured Housing Association. He is also the current President of the Louisville Manufactured Housing Board. He is celebrating 30 years in the industry this year and credits his success to all of those who have encouraged and helped him along the way. His passion for the industry is also paramount to the success he has enjoyed.

Teresa Payne

Teresa Payne

Teresa Payne currently serves as the Vice President of Policy at the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI), a role she assumed in May 2025. In this role, she leads MHI’s policy efforts to elevate housing innovation and expand attainable homeownership.

Prior to joining MHI, Ms. Payne had a distinguished career at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  She played a pivotal role in modernizing and advancing the HUD-Code for manufactured housing. She led the finalization and issuance of the third set of standards updates, which included key innovations such as attached carports, attached garages, zero lot line configurations, and two-story homes. She also developed and issued the fourth and fifth sets of updates—representing the most comprehensive revisions to the HUD-Code in decades—expanding the HUD-Code to include 2- to 4-unit single-family homes, among other things.

Ms. Payne’s leadership and contributions have left a lasting impact on the manufactured housing industry—shaping policy and innovation that will resonate for decades to come.

Jeff Tanner

Jeff Tanner

Jeff Tanner is the Sales Manager for Cavco Nappanee. He is a 25-year veteran of the Modular/Manufactured Housing industry, having worked for Ritz Craft Homes, Heckaman Homes, and All American Homes before joining Fairmont Homes in 2016. Jeff holds a degree in Marketing and Distribution Technology from Indiana University, and worked in structural steel fabrication for many years before making the switch to manufactured housing.

John Weldy

John Weldy

John Weldy has more than thirty years of experience working in the manufactured housing industry. He has been at Clayton Homes since 2005.

John is a registered Professional Engineer (Civil and Structural) in 38 States. He holds International Code Council (ICC) certifications for residential inspection for all disciplines. John graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He began his career at NTA where he worked for 11 years. While with NTA John served as a structural engineer, Director of Testing Services, DAPIA coordinator, and Director of DAPIA & IPIA Services. John was honored with the Manufactured Housing Institute’s (MHI) 2017 Frank Walter Standards Award.

John is passionate about attainability and sustainability in home building. He is an active member of MHI, where he serves on the Technical Activities Committee. He is on the executive board of the Systems Building Research Alliance (SBRA) where he serves as Treasurer and Chair of the ZERH (ZERO Energy Ready Homes) project initiative.

Zack Wolfe

Zack Wolfe

Zack Wolfe is a Senior Customer Success Manager at Clayton Middlebury, where he has built a successful 12-year career. He began in Inside Sales, spending two years developing foundational expertise before transitioning to Outside Sales, where he has excelled for over a decade. Zack is actively involved in several state associations and has served on the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association Board for the past five years. In his current role, he collaborates closely with community groups, retailers, and builder-developers to drive growth and deliver value. His deep industry knowledge and commitment to customer success make him a trusted partner across the region.
